This photograph was either taken or collected by Amagansett historian and librarian Carleton Kelsey. There are multiple George B. Conklins in the Amagansett area and it is not clear which one this would have been. Based on attire and facial hair a date is estimated. It is possible this is the same George B. Conklin who served as postmaster in Amagansett in 1893.
