This photograph was either taken or collected by Amagansett historian and librarian Carleton Kelsey. A date is estimated based on attire and inscription on the reverse side of photo. This is a image of the couple on thier wedding day in the year of about 1941. The reverse inscription reads, "Wedding day 1941. Mary is wearing her grandmothers wedding dress of about 1875...recently 17 was worn by a great niece of ours. I believe a Mildeberger came to N.Y. in the 1700's and had a 20 arce farm north of 80th St."
