Silvanus? Miller writes to David Gardiner, forwarding news from New York involving properties, presumbaly related to Michael McLachlan's estate and properties inherited by the McLachlan children. David Gardiner's wife was one of Michael McLachlan's children. Properties owned by Hardenbergh are discussed, as is a family member's visit to Gardiner's Island, and an agreement with Judge Ogilvie. On the reverse, Alexander McLachlan adds his notes to his brother-in-law.
