Letter from N.F.C. Loskell, in New York, N.Y., to Doctor James Searing, at Hempstead, N.Y., informing Searing that he [Loskell] will be leaving for Nova Scotia and eventually England, carrying the battalion on behalf of the General Court martial, onboard the ship Supply September 8, 1783. Letter bids farewell to Searing and his family, mentioning specifically Mrs. Searing, and their daughter Abbie; Searing was a doctor with the Continental Army.
